Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing flood?

Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

This is a really important question because the answer will very well determine where you spend eternity, and we will all spend eternity somewhere!

Being a Christian seems to have gone out of vogue in the West, particularly here in North America.  Of course, this should not come as a huge shock to anyone because Christ told us that if they persecuted Him people would persecute us, and if they hated Him they would hate us.

Many Christians today like to say that we are living in the end times, and for proof they sincerely point out all of the social ills that are taking place in our society and throughout the world. Thing is that every generation since Christ arose from the dead and ascended into heaven has been watching the Eastern sky and listening for the sound of the trumpet that signals His return in glory. Wars and rumors of wars have been with us for 2000 years and unregenerate sinners have been calling good evil and evil good the whole time.

I say that to say that not much has changed since the angel told the first disciples that Christ would return in the same way they had just seen Him going back up into heaven. So what does all this mean? It means that just as Jesus told us , no man knows the day or the hour of His return. Only the Father knows. (Matthew 24:36). Therefore it’s necessary to be ready and watching for Jesus since He will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2). The bad news is that anyone who is not ready and following Christ when He returns will be left behind to deal with the greatest time of tribulation the world has ever known. The good news is that all that is necessary to be ready is to believe in Christ and his atonement on the cross at Calvary and in his resurrection from the dead.

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:9, 13).

Will you do it if you haven’t already? Will you say a simple prayer from your heart and confess your sins to God, repent (turn away from) your sins and ask Him to forgive you? Will you turn your heart to Jesus and let him heal your soul and save you? No one was ever saved just by saying a sinner’s prayer and then walking away unchanged on the inside. Saying that prayer should be an outward sign of an inner faith. “For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, not of works, it is the gift of God so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9). “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 ESV).

God loves you and wants to save you from your sins. That is why He sent Jesus Christ into the world to die for the sins of everyone who would believe in him (John 3:16).

My prayer for you is that if you haven’t already that you will take a moment and ask Christ into your heart and ask him to save you from your sins and the certainty of the wrath of God that is coming upon every person who doesn’t turn to His Son in faith.

God bless you all this Easter season.
